Who is this guy?
Hello there, my name is Tim.
I'm a professional and freelance environmental artist. I specialize in Unreal Engine 3 level design, art dressing and lighting. I'm also fluent in Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop, having years of experience creating props and textures. I have 5 years of industry experience, with three game credits, notably the Xbox360/PS3/PC game Legendary, which was powered by Unreal Engine 3. My other credits include the Indie game Project Stealth and a yet to be released PC strategy game.
I'm imaginative, creative and love providing feedback and learning new things every day. I'm laid back and easy to get along with, but still want the games I'm involved in to be the best that they can be, and will do what needs to be done to meet that goal.
I graduated from Full Sail University in 2005 where I received my Associates Degree in Science, majoring in Computer Animation. Soon after I was hired by Spark Unlimited as a junior environmental artist, where I created props, dressed levels and built two multiplayer levels. During my time at Spark, I was promoted to mid-level environmental artist for such things as constantly improving my technical knowledge of the engine and completing tasks quickly and correctly. After Spark, I took a freelance job from East Coast Games, building a collection of human and alien structures for their unannounced PC real time strategy game.
In my free time I like working on Project Stealth, a indie game using the Unreal Development Kit that will provide a free to play stealth action multiplayer experience. Working on this project has given me added experience in managing a team and building levels from the ground up using the latest tools and technology.
Currently I'm living in Sherman Oaks, California, have been for the past 5 years. I'm looking for exciting new positions in the video game industry anywhere in the U.S. If you are interested in working with me or need to contact me, feel free to send me an email at timjwall@gmail.com
